Jammu, Mar 29: Extending his heartfelt felicitations to the Maati Trust and all those involved with the prestigious event, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha termed it as an excellent platform to showcase and share the ideas, culture, and arts of Purvanchal.
\nIn his address during 8th edition of the Purvanchal Festival, \u201cMaati,\u201d in Delhi today, the Lieu-tenant Governor highlighted that the festival\u2019s seven previous editions underscore the vibrancy of Purvanchal\u2019s rich cultural heritage, art, and intellectual traditions.
\n\u201cThe region of Purvanchal has greatly contributed to strengthening our diverse culture and pre-serving traditional values,\u201d said the Lieutenant Governor. \u201cPurvanchal is anchored in the abiding values of our spiritual ethos. For thousands of years, its linguistic diversity and literature have shaped our cultural perspectives, offering fresh ideas that have influenced cultural landscapes globally.\u201d
\nHe further emphasized that the linguistic richness of Purvanchal not only filled the cultural void in society but also shaped its outlook, fostering unity in diversity and leaving a lasting impact on the world\u2019s cultural canvas.
\nThe Lieutenant Governor paid homage to the freedom fighters, writers, artists, industrialists, and other prominent personalities of Purvanchal who have contributed to building modern India and enriching society through their intellectual and creative efforts.
\n\u201cThe values that Purvanchal has contributed to humanity are timeless. The legacy left behind by our ancestors continues to illuminate the path for future generations, ensuring a secure future for all,\u201d he said. \u201cThere are countless stars in the sky of Purvanchal. Nothing is more sacred than their creations and ideals. The Maati Trust and its associates hold a significant responsibility to preserve and promote this sacred legacy.\u201d
\nHe also stressed the importance of connecting future generations to the region\u2019s linguistic and cultural diversity. \u201cThe youth should remain connected with traditions that have served as a source of emotional bonding, peace, inspiration, and ideals for millennia,\u201d he added.
\nThe Lieutenant Governor lauded the Maati Trust for its commendable efforts in engaging ap-proximately 51,000 educational institutions to provide scholarships, job opportunities, and sup-port for startups and entrepreneurship for the youth. He also praised their efforts to promote cul-ture through a proposed cultural center.
\nOn the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor felicitated and congratulated the achievers from Pur-vanchal who were honored with the \u2018Maati Samman.\u2019<\/div>\n
